About GOAT Driving

I'm Cameron Haughey, a driving instructor in Perth, WA. Since 2019, I've worked with learner drivers across a range of situations - from first-time learners to people being reassessed after injury, medical conditions or age.

My focus has always been the same: helping people become safe, confident drivers - and pass their PDA without unnecessary stress or cost.

About Me

Driving is freedom — and in Western Australia, that freedom can change everything.

I’m Cameron Haughey, a qualified driving instructor based in Perth, WA.

Since 2019, I’ve worked with hundreds of learner drivers across a wide range of situations — from complete beginners to people preparing for their Practical Driving Assessment (PDA), and even those needing to be reassessed for medical or age-related reasons.

GOAT Driving exists to give you a clear, structured path to passing — even if you don’t have the budget for ongoing one-on-one lessons.

My Experience

Over the years, I’ve worked with learners in situations that require more than just basic instruction.

That includes:

  • Students supported through the NDIS, including those with autism, anxiety, and other conditions

  • Drivers returning to the road after serious injuries or accidents, including brain injuries requiring reassessment

  • Older drivers (80+) completing fitness-to-drive assessments

  • Learners who have failed multiple PDAs and need targeted correction

These experiences have shaped how I teach.

Because passing your test isn’t just about driving — it’s about:

  • Managing pressure

  • Understanding exactly what assessors are looking for

  • Building habits that hold up under scrutiny

Why I Started GOAT Driving

There were too many times where a student would have one or two lessons — sometimes as a gift — and then stop.

Not because they didn’t care.
Because they couldn’t afford to continue.

And I knew exactly what that meant:
They were going into their PDA underprepared.

That didn’t sit right with me.

So I built a system based on what I actually teach in lessons — structured, step-by-step, and focused on what matters most to pass in WA.

My Approach

I’m not here to sell you endless lessons.

I’m here to give you clarity and structure.

What I offer is:
✅ A system built on real results and WA testing standards
✅ A focus on safe, confident, repeatable driving habits
✅ Clear guidance you can follow at your own pace
✅ Support for learners from different backgrounds (English, Spanish, Portuguese)

Everything is designed to answer one question:

“What do I need to do to pass — and how do I actually do it?”

Who This Is For

GOAT Driving is designed for learner drivers in Western Australia who want a clear, structured path to passing their PDA — without relying on ongoing lessons.

This is for you if:

✅ You can’t afford multiple driving lessons

You want to make real progress without spending hundreds (or thousands) on one-on-one instruction.

✅ You have a supervisor but don’t know what to practise

You’ve got access to a car — but no clear plan for what actually matters for the test.

✅ You’ve failed your PDA (or feel underprepared)

You don’t need more random practice — you need to fix the specific mistakes assessors are marking.

✅ You want to understand exactly what assessors expect

No guessing. No mixed advice. Just clear, WA-specific guidance.

✅ You prefer learning at your own pace

You want structure — but without the pressure, scheduling, or cost of constant lessons.

✅ English isn’t your first language

The system is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese — so you can learn in the language you’re most comfortable with.

Who This Is NOT For

❌ You want someone to do everything for you

This system gives you structure — but you still need to put in the practice.

❌ You’re not willing to take feedback or improve

Passing the PDA requires adapting your driving — not just repeating what you already do.

❌ You’re looking for a shortcut or “trick” to pass

This is about building real driving habits that hold up under assessment.

Why It Matters

Getting your licence in WA isn’t just a milestone.

It can mean:

  • Getting to work

  • Supporting your family

  • Gaining independence

But too many learners:

  • Waste money on lessons without real progress

  • Get inconsistent advice

  • Go into tests not knowing what assessors expect

GOAT Driving is the alternative.

You stay in control.
You build real confidence.
And you prepare properly — without wasting money.

Whether you’re just starting your logbook or getting ready for your PDA,
this system will guide you step by step.
